Archives: Riding in the IHSA

Firsthand accounts of riding in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association by Sally Spickard, 19, of the University of Georgia.  Sally recently resigned from riding with the team but still offers a behind the scenes view of her involvement with the team.  During her first semester at college she competed with the IHSA team as a Novice level rider and hopes to point out of Novice in the coming academic year. Sally has showing experience in dressage, eventing, hunters, equitation and jumpers. She has shown up to First Level in dressage, in the 3' hunter and jumper divisions, and in 2'9' equitation classes.
